AI credits

What are AI credits?

AI credits are used by supported AI actions. During request-only beta, they come from shared free access or a product-specific approved beta allowance.

Free credits

Shared across free products

Eligible free products share one credit balance.

AI usage in any free product reduces the shared balance.

Usage remains visible by product and action.

AI actions pause when the shared balance reaches zero.

This balance is separate from any approved product beta.

Approved beta credits

Limited to one approved product

The allowance is created only after manual approval.

It can be used only by the selected product.

It does not unlock or fund other products.

Unused credits expire with the 14-day beta window.

Beta credits do not create a paid subscription or change the account type.

AI credits and compute usage are separate.

AI credits are used by AI-powered actions, while compute usage tracks runs, runtime, and concurrency limits.

Open AI credits, choose the balance you need, and read the limits of a selected beta allowance.

In Billing, expand AI credits, then use the balance tabs to switch between shared Free usage and any product-specific allowance created by an approved beta request.

Note: Free products share one balance. Each approved product beta has its own separate allowance and access window.

Read the balance, access period, and usage limit

For the selected beta product, review granted, used, and remaining credits together with the period end date and usage history. AI actions pause when that balance reaches zero or when the approved beta window ends; self-service top-ups are not available during request-only beta.
